Geographic Analysis of China's Global Brands
Building on Totem’s 2024 “Chinese brands going global” report, Meltwater and Totem collaborated on this detailed geographic analysis.
The aim of this report is to take a deeper look into where and how Chinese brands are growing onto the international stage.
Leveraging Meltwater’s global data system, we pulled data on the 100 top ranked Chinese brands, across seven geographic regions (continents) and over 170 countries, to understand:
where and how Chinese brands are succeeding,
how local consumers are responding to Chinese brands (eg. Sentiment and preferences)
what media and influencers are most effective per region/country,
what topics, themes, interests are most effective for engagement, and
case studies for what successful Chinese brands are doing to build into each region.
